[Hallicrafters] Hallicrafters Paint and Home Depot

FYI, I have tried this setup myself years ago and while others may have
good luck with it, I found that the spray was not a good fine spray, it
resulted in paint spatters on the finished product. I tried five
bottles, varying the consistency of the paint and got the same results
with all of them. It was great for household painting projects like
woodwork etc, but for putting a fine finish on a radio, it just didn't
do it for me. (Of course the lumpiness looked a little like wrinkle
finish, so may this is good!) The pressure can't be regulated and it
seemed pretty low as well as just a one size non-adjustable opening on
the nozzle. The paint came out in "lumps" rather than a fine mist. It
seemed fine but when the paint hit the primed metal it formed a "grainy"
appearance. I've found the best method is to use the same paint, but
get yourself a decent airbrush and compressor. More expensive but in the
long run you have far better control over the coverage and amount of
paint being laid out. For big projects use an automotive detail gun wit
regulator and compressor.

I'm not saying don't give this method a try, it make work fine for you,
just that I wasn't real successful with these bottles to obtain a
"factory-like" finish.
