If one wanted to modify the bias circuit to allow
normal AB1 operation in transmit with about -49 volts
of operating bias and have the tubes placed in
cutoff during receive or standby, I would replace
HV bleeders R67 & R68 with 10K ohm 25 watt
units, that way the bleeders should provide enough
minimum current draw for the filter choke to do its job.
The disadvantage of course is then you'll have about
50 watts of heat dissipated under the chassis.
