[Hallicrafters] Re SX-117 Receive/Standby Operation

Hello All, 	
	
The SX-117 does not 'appear' to have a receive/standby switch to me. I was told
it was accomplished by turning the RF gain all the way down while transmitting,
obviously not operating in a transceive configuration. 	
	
Otherwise the two screws on the rear of the chassis were jumped together to
allow the receiver to remain in the 'receive' mode all of the time.  	
	
Which, if either, of these is correct?
