Subject: [Hallicrafters] Inserts for Hallicrafters knobs.
Date: Wednesday, April 28, 2004 11:27 PM
Yesterday I asked the following question:
Does anyone have a good, easy fix for the black inserts for the
Hallicrafters knob (e.g. the knobs on the SX-42, 62, 71) besides black
tape cut in a circle and pressed in? Thanks.
73, Skip W7WGM
And got the following response from K6TFC:
Skip, I used the black food containers that many frozen dinners come
in. They looked great and the plastic is very durable.
Dick K6TFC
And I tried it. I used a 3/4 in. hole punch and the black plastic
inserts made are indistinguishable from the original inserts. Thanks
Dick and to the rest that responded.
73, Skip
