1 - Re the price, here's what Neil told me...

2 - Re the connection...

I powered it from a 9 volt battery - the DFD itself comes with the proper
pop-on connector for these batteries. When i do the final installation i
will probably power it either from the 6.3volt filament line, or from a
separate "wall-wart" power supply.

For the signal, I ran 2ft of RG-58 coax from the DFD itself, into the
topside of the radio cabinet. Inside the radio i grounded the coax braid to
a solder lug on the main tuning cap, and coupled the center conductor
through about 1pF of capacitance to the hot side of the HFO section of the
tuning gang. The capacitor consisted of two one-inch lengths of insulated
hookup wire twisted together, I used a very low value of coupling so as not
to disturb the analog calibration, and to avoid coupling digital hash back
into the radio. I used the same approach a few years back when installing
DFD's in my Hammarlunds, it was very successful.

The above exercise was all for test purposes. In a proper install job i
would put the DFD circuitry inside a small metal box. AADE used to supply
these but no longer does so.

hope this helps

Bob

Bob,

Two questions:

1. Price?

2. How is it connected?

Tnx.
