Yep, and a lot cheaper too! But not nearly as much fun as the real thing. What
can be more rewarding than burning the end of your fingertip off with a hot
soldering gun because your bifocals slid down your nose at the wrong time? Or an
allergic reaction to a fifty year old resistor that suddenly transformed itself
to smoke that plugged up your sinuses for a week and had you coughing out little
smoke rings with color bands? Or an old black beauty capacitor that explodes
with all the passion and fury of Mt. Saint Helen's spewing its innards all over
your freshly laid carpet melting it down into strands of something that not even
Roseanne Barr would call hair?

Think I will put the SX-88R right next to the Hammarlund Pro-310 that is
being sold on EBAY.  Maybe I will use the Globe King Loudenboomer 2000
designed by the famous Larsen E. Rapp WIOU as the transmitter.  A mims
signal squirter and a W8GZ windom fill out the antennas.
Boy its great to dream Huh?
