[Hallicrafters] S58 INFO NEEDED

I have a S 58 AM/FM receiver. i am going to use it to play my mp3 player 
thru the phone position.
i just about have it finished and starting on the outside..
my questions are
1. the frame around the dial glass is silver in color. but looks like it 
had gold paint on it at one time.
2. the speaker grill has a coat of gold color paint on it.
i can not tell from the pic's in Chucks book if the grill was silver like 
all the S seriers and someone painted it or if it came out gold ?
wanted to have it correct  when i finish  anyone have any ideals ?
