Mike,
You can and probably will have to make them your self.
I restored a SX-73 which had at least half of them broken.
You must find some copper-berylium finger stock the same thickness as
the broken strips/loops. Drill out the rivet.
(BE CAREFUL. the bakelite mounting strip will be brittle and can be
broken) Ask me how I know!
Use care with the finger stock. If inhaled, the powder can be toxic.
Don't grind or file it!!
Scraps will be ok unless you chew and swallow them. :-}}
Dispose of all scraps.
Using the old loops as a pattern, cut out new ones with scissors. Punch
holes, loop over, and use a 2-56 (IIRC) screw,
2 flat washers, one under the head and one under the nut (A lock washer
is recommended but optional) in place of the rivet.
After replacing the broken ones, lube the strips with a good teflon
based lube. (Radio Shack has a good one)
When changing bands, go slowly!
Don't hesitate to email questions.
Good Luck
73,
Chuck
