I suggest taking the cabinet to a major paint supply
store (like Sherwin-Williams) and having them match
the paint. I have had very good luck with my local
store matching all sorts of boat anchor paints
including a "perfect" match on the Collins St. James
Gray as used on the "A" line.
A quart of latex enamel runs about $11 and a quart of
acryllic (water based but harder than enamel) runs
about $12. I have found that "satin" finish matches
pretty well to most of the cabinets.
You will need a paint gun to use this. Or, some paint
stores do have the machine to load spray cans with the
paint. Of course, this is going to cost more.
The paint on the S-40 series isn't really a "matt
black" although that is what it appears to be. There
are some other colors in it as well as the basic
black.

Would appreciate comments from those who have
successfully duplicated the matt black cabinet color
and finish for the S-40.
