Man, but that brings back memories.
I used to wear out Heathkit catalogs dreaming about a DX 100, then it was
the Viking Valiant, then that Hallicrafters console that had the SX-100, an
HT-32 (I think), and the HT-33 and finally I just wanted the HT32B, HT33B,
and SX115. Thing is... I never did get any of them until they were being
replaced by the light weight stuff and I ended up with the SX-117/HT44 combo
for some years. I finally did get that beautiful HT33B some where around
1979, or 1980. And..I still can't afford the whole HT32B, HT33B, and SX115
station in really good shape.
Maybe as time goes on I'll eventually get them all working and looking like
new.
