[Hallicrafters] Carbon vs Metal Film Resistors

As I upgrade or rebuild my HT-37, I need to buy groups of resistors. I
found the carbon
Resistors are much more expensive than Metal Film. I then realized, I
really don't know the
Difference between the two.

I know carbon resistors are basically non-inductive, however, I suspect
Metal film resitors
Are not. Does anyone know if this is correct or can a metal film
resistor replace a
Carbon resistor directly. I certainly don't want to put inductive
resistors in RF circuitry.
