If you are asking about "Black Beauties" in general, I've attached an
article I wrote on recapping the SP-600. The "Black Beauties" described
are the same (with the same failure characteristics) as found in
Hallicrafters, Collins and other radios of the era. I can't speak
directly to the HT-37, but visually, a "Black Beauty" will stand right
out to you.
