Bill,

Yep, I think it was the PA QSO party. We struggled along on 7.282 Mhz lsb until
1810 and gave up. By then I had one one either side and it was totally insane.
All of this for a piece of paper? With today's technology, print your own, just
fake it and take a nap!

Tnx for trying. Better luck tomorrow.

Join us on Saturday October 11th for the Hallicrafters Collectors
International
40 meter Net. The pre-Net portion will begin at 12:30 PM EDT, (1630 UTC),
provided the frequency is clear from squatters. The Net proper will commence
at
1:00 PM EDT, (1700 UTC). If the frequency is not clear by then, I will sing
a
few lines from "Take This Cob And Shove It!" No, not what you are thinking!
It
is about plugging a hole in the outhouse door with a corn cob where the
crosseyed neighbor blew a hole while trying to shoot a rubber duck off his
cousins head. Now if me singing a few bars of that blue grass classic does
not
clear the air, nothing will! The frequency will be 7.280 Mhz lsb +/- for key
clicks, mike splatter and the sound of what could be mistaken for large hail
stones bouncing off the Ham Shack roof. But it is just thos determined
Canadian
Honkers with the bad iron ferrite filled cells disrupting their biochemical
magnetic compass stuck in a circle of touch and go landings for a solid week
and
dropping bits of fertilizer as they pass overhead. Don't know what they are
eating, but we need to get some Kaopectate into it!

Join us if you can and tell us what you know about the Hallicrafters stereo
system gear that was produced in the early sixties. Did Hallicrafters
'really'
produce it or does it just bare their name? Do any of now, or have you ever,
owned any of it?

I hope to hear you above the ducks doo-ing their thing!
