[Hallicrafters] HT-37 Questions

I have a HT-37  almost ready to put it on the air. Heard it is a very nice xmitter and looking foward to using it. I have 3 questions.
1.  12BY7A gets very hot. Normal?

2. Long time for power to come up. After 3 minutes power is 20 watts. After 30 minutes about 80 watts. Very slow. Any ideas.

3. Bad drift even after 15 minutes. This one is critical.
