Greetings Folks: There is a Hallicrafters factory Information Bulletin,
number 094-902457, entitled CHANGES REQUIRED FOR BREAK-IN KEYING OF
HT-37. I have a copy of it. There is similar information in QST April
1967, page 34 (SIMPLE “TATTOO” CONTROL FOR THE HT-37).

If anyone will send me an SASE with a note saying what you want (gotta
bad memory), I will be glad to send you a copy.

Or perhaps someone can put it up on the Hallicrafters website.

The HT-37 originally comes with no PTT, just vox only with the mic
coming into a screw type single conductor round mic socket. The previous
owner of mine had already installed a 4 pin mic socket and PTT. I went
ahead and installed the factory break-in mod, using fixed resistors
instead of the factory specified dual co-axial pots. I experimented with
the resistor values I wanted, and just wired them in fixed. No other
changes were required (the factory sheet shows swapping out a single pot
for the dual coaxial pot).

My 37 has break-in, vox (which I don’t use), and ptt.
