The SR-150 is sort of a "poor man's" KWM-2. Readout is only to 5 khz. Stability is
pretty good once it gets warmed up. The PA tubes are 12DQ6's which haven't hit the
roof yet.
Radio will deliver 90-100 watts on 80 but drops off to 30-40 watts max on 10 meters.
Sensitivity is decent, but selectivity isn't adjustable. Biggest shortcoming in
radio is the relays used in it. Tiny 'JAICO' open relays used and they are
impossible to find.
I subbed some reed relays with satisfactory results in one I just sold.

Subject: [Hallicrafters] Opinions on the SR 150
| I have seen a number of SR-150 transceivers for sale lately at cheap prices. How
good were they? How restorable are they? Are most parts still available? What were
the shortcomings of the radio?
