Hi Dan and all that read this,

If you have a TR-7 with all the options you have a TR-7A . Drake would
retrofit TR-7's and make them into TR-7A's from the factory. There was
only one circuit change which was not a plug-in which was a protection
diode on the input and of course then there was the piece of mylar that
slips into the front naming the unit as a TR-7A.

The serial tag on the back will tell you if the unit was originally a
TR-7 or TR-7A because that piece was not changed. I have a TR-7 that
was turned into a TR-7A. Drake sent a manual with a sticker in it that
stated that the unit had been factory configured as a TR-7A from a TR-7.

So now how about a post about all the Collins KWM-2's that have been
changed into KWM-2A's and changed from wing to round emblem for the sole
purpose of resale value.

I bet you that nobody every made a fake SX-88.
