[Hallicrafters] Hallicrafters Model S-38

Hi all,
I have posted here previously regarding my efforts to restore a model S-38 
Hallicrafters and the buzz/hum that I get from the speaker when I turn the 
unit on.  As I have mentioned,  the volume control has no effect on the 
buzz,  it is just as loud at zero volume as it is at full volume.  I have 
replaced all of the electrolytic capacitors in the radio and most of the 
other caps as well.   I have checked all of tubes on my Heathkit tube tester 
and all tested strong.  Any suggestions as to what to check next?  Thanks 
for any help you can provide!
