All:Just a few posts ago, there was a ham who just completed restoration on an SX-28. He said that he was receiving very well on all bands. However, because it was so sensitive, he had to cut back on the RF gain. I have a suspicion that there is still a problem with that SX-28. You shouldn't have to back down on the rf gain if it is operating within spec. I think there may be a problem in the AGC department. Others might disagree but usually on all of my receivers (SX-28 included), I usually run "WOT" (wide open throttle) unless I'm trying to receive some CW or SSB signals. Am I correct or what is happening here? Thanks. Cal, N6KYR.
