I use waterless hand cleaner to clean everything....no abrasives and no
water to create problems down the road.  After I use this I apply Armour-All
cleaner and wipe it clean....this stuff seems to get everything out that the
hand cleaner doesn't get and the fact that it is liquid gets it into every
little space.

 Finally, I apply Armour-All Original Protectant and buff up the surfaces.

This three-part process removes everything that needs to be removed without
harming the surfaces.  It is particularly good with knobs...they look like
new after the Armour-All has been applied.  Also makes crackle finishes look
brand new too.
