[Hallicrafters] Matching Speaker for SX-17

Chuck Dachis is a Hallicrafters collector, researcher and the author of
Radios by Hallicrafters, published by Schiffer Publishing Limited,
Atglen, Pa.

I have the first edition.  There is a second edition out currently.

The 2 speakers are identical in style and match the radios in question
with a metal black wrinkle finish and the bright metal bands on the
sides.  The front is wood with the Halli "h" inside the circular cutout
for the speaker.

I have the 8 inch version.  I have been looking for a 12 inch.  Ebay has
had several over the last months but I am not looking to pay nearly or
over $200 for one.  None-the-less the 12 inch units always bring
somewhere over $100 if they are in any remotely restorable condition.

I am also looking for the R-8 and R-12 (not the -T versions for table
model which you seek).  These are the wood cabinet, ducted bass speakers
for use with the SX-28 among others.  Just missed one on Ebay, but I
only bid $347.  The next guy got it for $350 as I recall.
