According to my books it will receive the FM Broadcast band (86-109) and
also FM on (44-55). The lack of stereo processing is not a problem. FM
Stereo is broadcast with sum of both channels on the main carrier. The
information necessary for stereo reception (to separate left and right
channels is broadcast on a sub carrier multiplexed with main carrier. If my
memory serves me correctly, it is the difference of the two channels.
Therefore a non stereo receives the signal fine as monaural FM At least that
is my understanding.

I just read a posting on another site that the
SX-43 covers the FM band. Is this true? If it
is, since this is not a stereo receiver, does
it receive the FM band ok?
