[Hallicrafters] SX-99

I just purchased an SX-99 that seems to work very well on all bands. There 
are a couple dirty switch contacts, but I am very impressed by the overall 
condition of the radio given it's age. The front panel is absolutely 
flawless, although the top has some surface scratches.

I've done a search of the list archives (at least the past 6 months) and 
found good tips on painting cabinets ... something I'll eventually do. 
However, there wasn't much else available. So, for those of you  with SX-99 
experience, what advice would you offer an SX-99 newbie?
