Are you sure the USB requirement excludes CW ?  The term USB describes
an information bandwidth above the carrier frequency, but does not
identify what type of information is conveyed there.  Early SSB rigs
often keyed an audio tone in a sideband channel to make CW and today
we see RTTY and SSTV signals routinely sent using USB.  So, unless the
specs for 5 Mcs use say only voice in a USB slot, then it might be
open to any information fitting into a normal 3 kc USB channel.
Anyone know for sure ?  Ed k2mp
