Phil -
In my recent trip through a SX-42 (verry similar to your SX-62), almost all of the 1/2 watt carbon resistors were 20% to 80% high. The few 1 and 2 watt carbon resistors, strangely, were all OK. I ended up replacing almost all of the 1/2 watt resistors and waxed paper capacitors.
