Dave, you might have a cathode to filament short in one of your tubes,
especially try the first (12SQ7) and second audio (50L6) tubes. The
rectifier tube 35Z5 could be tried too. I have had audio tubes that test
good in every way on a good tube checker, but still have that short as
shown by subbing with a known good one. This kind of short will show up
as the tubes get hot. Try subbing one tube at a time.

But, alas, it could be one of a number of things.
