HI Skip, I have an assortment of 50 kc if tx and will look thru them to
see if something is there 
that can be used. In the stock are several of the second convertor sub
chassis and some iftx.
The 50 kc if system is very stable freq. wise, most problems are due to
an open coil.
The Durez dipping resin that was used in some of the coil series would
damage the coil in time.
I have many bad coils with good slugs however. Get the old ohmmeter out
and check coils.
