[Hallicrafters] SX-42 RF stages

Many thanks to everyone who set me straight on dummy
antennas or TV baluns for aligning the SX-42.  

The SX-42 that I am trying to restore has two 6CE5
tubes for the 1st and 2nd RF stages, instead of the
6AG5's called for in the schematic.  The specs seem
very similar, with minor differences (screen voltage,
etc.)   Is anyone familiar with this substitution?  Is
this a known modification, or did someone just throw
in what was available?
