[Hallicrafters] hammarlund hq-180a

Hello guys! I got a hq-180A that the tuning goes dead on all the bands about
1/3 of the tuning band on the low end! on all bands it makes a crackle noise
(at the very same place) as I am tuning downward and then the signal drops
off the table. any ideas? it is probably the same solution for a Hammer as
for a Hali.  Dan
