 It wan't that kind of virus. Actually it was a worm and hit mostly servers.
I guess it is possible a server became confused, but basically the thing
sent out so many probes (thousands per second) trying to find vunlerable
servers that it slowed the net to a crawl.  Hardest hit were the servers in
Asia and particularly, Korea where the net virtually came to a stand still.
