I think you are right about using it for regular QSOs but it is like the 
first stations you hear on your first crystal radio, using this set up you 
get to experience some of the magic of ham radio. The initial QSOs should 
prove to be a real special event.It is part of the awe and mystique and 
romance of this great hobby...Alan KB7MBI
