[Hallicrafters] S-53A my first dumb question

Hi folks -
Well, today I received my first "vintage" radio - a modest S-53A. I was
elated to find the cabinet, dials, and face in immaculate shape. For me it
is a real treat and a trip into history - one could easily get hooked on
this stuff!
Now for my first, non techy, dumb question. My ham shack uses a 250' wire
loop which goes to some ladder line; a 4:1 balun; and then through about 10
feet of coax into a BNC connector for my rigs.
I need to connect the two antenna screws (A1 and A2) to the BNC
connection. What is the best way to do this and does it matter which screw
terminal goes to the enter wire of the coax connection. Thanks for any help.
73/Tim
