Dan:
Why not go to your friendly machine shop, hopefully you know a machinist,
and ask them to turn one out for you from some scrap aluminum? I did this
for the lumiline light end cap covers for a Collins and he was more than
glad to do so.

Subject: [Hallicrafters] NEWER HT32/SX115 KNOB
Never was successful in find the knob I have been seeking for over a year!
Thought I'd try a post here again.
Actually I am looking for the FLAT INSERT for the smaller of the HT32B
knobs.
Most of the HT32's had knobs with pointy chrome inserts (I liken them to old
Buick hubcaps). These are NOT what I'm looking for...the later production
HT32B's and SX115's had FLAT inserts which appear to be machined aluminum. I
need ONE of these, which means any of the following knobs will work:
HT32
audio level
rf level
meter compression
final tune
operation
function
calibrate level
driver tune
SX115
audio level
function
selectivity
I was steered to Charlie Talbot K3ICH who did have/make flat machined
inserts, and I purchased some, but they were not the correct size. The
diameter of the inserts for the above knobs is approx. 11/16".
Any helpers out there?
Thanks and 73
Dan

PS I do have a 1.25" insert which Charlie sent me....anyone have a 11/16"
punch which will cut this this thing clean and precisely?
