1. Have you tested the tubes and/or replaced any?
2. Has the set been properly aligned within the past four years?
3. Have you checked the resistors for being within tolerance and capacitors for
proper capacitance?
As things age, including we humans, we all need tune ups and/or replacement
parts. Just don't use the new math logic: if it warms up in thirty minutes as
120 VAC, it will warm up in half the time if you use 220 VAC. Sure will, but
ONLY once!

Well mine is unrestored as I originally received it 20 years ago. On AM
(even SWBC) I have to retune 2 or 3 times during the first 30 to 45 minutes
after that it settles down & plays fine. SSB is a different story during
that warm up time. Lots more (than what is needed for AM) retuning.
But then my other Halli's drift too until they warm up inside...
