I just finished reading a very long article in the AWA Review by Bart
Lee on Signal Intelligence Operations during WW 1 to the end of WW 2.
About 85 pages in length, it is well worth reading by anyone interested
in radio operations from the early days to WW 2.
It covers both US operations and German and Japanese operations.
Hallicrafters fans will enjoy knowing a bit more about the SX 38 sets,
National fans will enjoy reading about the National sets.
Discussion of some clandestine sets using a c-ration can for a variable
capacitor will interest the homebrew radio builders. For anyone
interested in WW 2 intelligence, this ties together a lot of information
in one place.
Published by the Antique Wireless Association, Vol. 15 2002.
They have a web site at:
http://www.antiquewireless.org
which has more details on the organization. There may be information on
how to purchase a copy of the volume.
