Ray,
Thanks for ur input. While aligning this receiver with the tube lineup and schematic is more than enough information for me to perform the alignment and overall tuneup, I was left scratching my head as to why this information was never published. However, new information I have received from members of this site have (I think) given me the answer.
I received an email from another member of this group saying he had the manual I was looking for and gave me the Hallicrafters # of the manual. I said wait a minute, that's the # on my manual but there is no information about alignment and tuneup in it. Hence, I think I am missing the pages for alignment.
Since I have an ORIGINAL, YELLOWED and UNBOUND fairly poor manual, it is very possible (likely) that it is missing the all important alignment procedure pages. I believe these missing pages will have the info I require and they are being PDF'ed to me today.
Thanks for all the responses. I will post a msg here when I receive the PDF file on this handsome
receiver.
