Very nice fully restored SX 28...I replaced all the paper and some mica
caps(including the ones in the IF xformers) and most resistors..To retain
the physical integrity of the power supply, the old electrolytics were
removed from theirs cans and new ones installed..The band indicators and
bandspread dial cords were replaced.Tubes were replaced where required..The
gear train was cleaned,lubricated and adjusted..All knobs are original and
the front panel and cabinet are in very good condition..After all of the
above was performed the radio was completely aligned..The "S" meter works
correctly..Iam using an Altec-Lansing 15 inch coaxial speaker ,circa 1960's,
in a 10 cu.ft. enclosure and the audio is excellent..Sensitivity and audio
tests were performed and are well within the original manufacturer's
