Ron,

My SX-25 Super Defiant must have come from the same person or family :-(  As
received the cabinet was painted gold with the side vents painted maroon and
further accented with gold stars stuck in the center of the tuning knobs.
As a traditionalist I returned it to its native color along with removing
the gold stars and a switched crystal BFO which had been added.

I am currently restoring an S19R (a $2 hamfest special!).  It was heavily
modified and I have stripped it to the chassis to rebuild.  I used two
boxes, one to hold what was original to the radio and the other to hold the
"extra" parts.  The extra parts box contains more than the original box but
I did gain some useful parts for other projects!
