I moved to a condo several years ago and was off the air until recently.
Bought a set of Hustler mobile antenna/resonators and have been pleased with
the results. I made a metal plate to hold the antenna upright and added a
counterpoise. The SWR can be reduced to 2:1 or less by adjusting the length
of the antenna tip. No tuner needed. Results are good. Running 50 to 100
watts, I have worked many countries. With winter weather, the antenna has
been inside, where it has also worked surprisingly well. There is quite a
bit of QRM here, too. Seems to come with the urban/suburban environment.
Oh, for the stillness of the country!

Has anyone tried the MFJ noise canceller antenna device?
