Thanks, Barry.  Yours is the voice of reason!

If only we could all present our case so clearly.  You've convinced me to
give up my hopes for a compromise that probably wouldn't have worked.  I
haven't even peeked at the rest of the e-bay comments that are waiting for
me to read.  I hope that your ideas are well received, even though they push
me away from my original "vote".

(And I see my off-line comments got pushed into a post anyway! -- and I
can't believe how much I had to delete to get it all off this posting!)
