You don't owe any one an appology for a common sense approach.
All was right on and to the point as far as I'm concerned, nor did it slam
any one.
I can't understand how any one could have taken offense.

Rigs are worth what people are willing to pay.  That auctions and some sales
go way beyond what is considered fair market value is just one of those
facts of life.
OTOH A rig that goes for 3 or 4 times the normal price only raises the fair
market value a tiny bit overall.

All of us get bit by the "gotta have it" syndrom now and then.  All of us
have a bit of impulse byer in us. It only takes the right circumstances to
bring it out.

"From what I've seen" the overall prices have come down with the market, yet
a few really good pieces still go for big bucks.  There are still a few out
there that can afford the inflated prices and are willing to pay what ever
it takes to get the piece they want.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with
that as long as the seller and buyer are happy, then more power to them.
