[Hallicrafters] pricing

Ok.. if you need an example of just how innaccurate that AADE list is, do an
Ebay search for an HP-23... you'll find 5 of them ending in the last 30 days.

If you look on AADE, they only show 12 of them having ever been sold. Now if
there are 5 of them that sold in the last 30 days, I'd think that there would
have been well over 100 sold since Ebay began..... and even I've had HP-23s
sell for well over 100.00 , yet the highest price that shows is only
98.01.....
It also shows a total of 12 HR-10B receivers, and none sold for over
102.50... I've sold 5 of them on Ebay myself, and the lowest price I ever had
one sell for was 125.00....
I've sold 3 Heathkit AK-5 speakers on Ebay as well, and the lowest price I've
sold one of those for was 137.50 , they show as having 1 sold, for a total
of 76.00....
I could go on and on.....

Unfortunately, the only REAL up to date, trackable and searchable database
for pricing ham gear is Ebay itself, and their list goes back 30 days. I'd
say that 30 days history would indicate actual Ebay value, which may or may
not be 'Market Value', but if 70% of all the ham gear being sold is done on
Ebay, who else is going to set 'Market Value'...?
Your mileage may vary.... 73 de Jordan....
