[Hallicrafters] SX-42 alignment

I need a little help aligning my SX-42. In the RF alignment the first
step is to adjust A21 (SAMS) or (C21) (service bulletin) for a maximum
output with the signal gen. and the dial setting at 1500 KC. I find a
maximum output with the dial set at 1510 KC. It seems like I should
first adjust the local osc. but the alignment procedure doesn't seem to
cover this. I'm using a RMA dummy antenna on the input and a Simpson
269 (5000 ohms per volt) across the 500 ohm speaker connections. Help
appreciated in the dial calibration. Thanks.
