     I am just doing the finishing touches on my SX-28A. I have recapped the entire unit and now I am checking out each and every resistor. Don't forget to check out the micas too! I have found a lot of bad resistors. Seems like every second or third one is out. Scott, if  you are serious about doing a good job on recapping, take apart the RF section and replace " all " of the caps. It takes some time, but I found it fun and challenging. Phil Nelson has documented his restoration of an SX-28 and does a fine job in explaining it step by step with photos to assist you. Take care and have fun.
