Hi Mark....nope, I didn't misunderstand you, I just wanted to see if my
rx had them or not.
I expected them to be there because antenna coils almost always are
adjustable and these are shown on the schematic that way as well.
Hey, what the heck....if mine had been missing, I would have needed some
slugs too!!
Glad you found them.....cuz you ain't gonna git mine!!

Hi Dave,
I think you misunderstood my dilemma. The slugs are completely missing
from
those two coils! I suppose sometime in its dim past someone tried to do
an
alignment on this receiver and broke the slugs into small bits. The
adjustments on the bands that were not broken were way out of
adjustment.
The good news is that a gentleman just emailed me, has a junker and is
willing to part with the two slugs (or coils) that I need!
The other bands tuned up great so I am anxious to get them, finish the
alignment and start using it. It seems really good on the bands that I
have
been able to finish!
Thanks to all who responded! Sure is a great group of people!

I checked my 101Mklll just now and the L3 & L4 slugs are flush with the
bottom of the coil form.
I aligned it several years ago.....eek...like 15 years ago and as I
recall, there was nothing out of the ordinary about those slugs being so
far out.
