Waldo and others,

The splitter is a good idea (though some T/O Keyers are mangled already and
installing a key jack on the back is little additional offense.)

I have a little military box that has three phone jacks in it, all in
parallel. The line from the T/O Keyer goes in one, the straight key or bug
goes into the third, a cord with PL-55's on each end connects the third to
the transmitter. The only trouble is that connecting cord winds up with
moderately high voltage on it (as does the key) with some
transmitters. Hard wiring in the cord to the transmitter would be a good
answer to this. My Navy Flameproof key has the contacts insulated from the
case.
