[Hallicrafters] stupid SX 101A black beauty question

I've come up with conflicting ways to read the color code
on these things....at the risk of being stupid....HELP!!
I have one chart that says the first band is the temperature coeficient and
the second is the first significant figure and onther that says the FIRST
band is the first significant figure....sorry for being dense.
