[Hallicrafters] SX 101A and knob problem

My "new" SX 101A arrived day before yesterday. Wow!
What a radio! It dwarfs the HQ140 I've been working on this fall both in
stature and performance. A fantastic radio! It arrived with a pretty clean
upper chassis, no rust on the cabinet and no dial pointer. On removing the
front panel I got all the knobs off....but the last one....the #$%^&
pointer reset knob would NOT come off. I begged, I cussed, I pleaded...to no
avail. the set screw was reamed out and would afford no purchase. I was
forced to drill it out (which I'm sure was a mistake). Found the dial
pointer deep inside and reglued it. Does anyone have a
pointer reset knob they would sell me? or does anyone know where I could
find one? Also what is the feeling in the group about metal film resistors?
I've recently read that they shouldn't be used in rf situations because they
have inductance. Thanks. A million caps to replace in here.
