[Hallicrafters] Join Sunday HCI 20 Meter Net

The Hallicrafters Collectors International Sunday August 24th 20 meter Net will
begin at 12:45 PM EDT, (1645 UTC) with the pre-Net. The Net proper will commence
at 1:15 PM EDT, (1715 UTC). The frequency will be 14.293 Mhz usb +/- for key
clicks, mike splatter and the unmistakable sound of the ice cream truck in front
of my house playing that twenty second endless loop cheap digital imitation of
Pop Goes The Weasel over and over and over. A hour of that and you began to have
visions of a Weasel with a large firecracker up his rump and a lit fuse! Not
only is the tune endless, the truck broke down this morning and the driver
locked it up and left. Tonight the windows have fogged up from the frozen Carbon
Dioxide, AKA dry ice, evaporating and there is an odd hissing sound coming from
the truck. Different than the usual hissing and sizzling courtesy of the
friendly folks at Consumers Energy who light the area and fleece our bank
accounts. If that truck blows, there will be no more annoying music from that PA
horn on the chocolate fudge colored roof as soggy fudgesicles, gooey drumsticks,
oozing ice cream sandwiches and dripping popsicles fly through the air to
decorate the siding on nearby houses with a new art form you can clean off with
your tongue! 	
	
I hope to hear many of you tomorrow, so warm up those wonders that still go glow
