I have run into quite a few GOOD telegraphers that are way under 60 years old!
Biggest problem nowadays is general lack of interest in teaching the "newbies" proper
radiotelegraph procedures!  They are just ignorant about "how" to properly execute
the
old "operating protocols".  In other words, they lack 'manners'.  Too many just
operate "hello goodby" contacts with DX and contesters.

I have a neighbor...female....in her 30's that is a very excellent telegrapher!  One
looking for
activity nowadays will find little "ragchewing" type QSOs compared with yesteryear!
No
"lack of activity" though, as when there is a contest involving 80 or 160 CW that has
high popularity, the bands will be jammed with signals!!!  It's mostly a change in
operating habits amungst the hams for last 10-15 years.

Hope to see some of you on 7050 and 3546.5 at night.
